What is Niwa Day?
Niwa Day is a desktop app for Windows that shows today's schedule as a vertical timeline, floating on your desktop. It reads events from your Google Calendar and arranges them from 00:00 to 23:59, with a quiet indicator marking the current time.
No tabs to switch. No window to open. Just look up, and your day is there — ready when you need it, out of the way when you don't.
Routines, on the same timeline.
Why only today?
A whole week's worth of events can feel like noise. Niwa Day shows only the day you're actually in — so there's less to scan, less to carry, and more room for what's right in front of you.
Core Features
Just today. Nothing else.
No weekly grid. No future to worry about. Niwa Day shows the day you're living in — that's the whole point.
Your Google Calendar, in view
Connects to Google Calendar and shows today's events on the timeline, always in sync. Read-only — Niwa Day never changes your calendar.
A line that walks with the day
A time indicator moves down the timeline as the day unfolds, showing what's next and how much of the day is still ahead.
Routines, on the same timeline
Add the small things that don't belong in your calendar — a morning walk, a reading hour, a focus block. Click to add, drag to move, click to edit. They sit alongside your Google Calendar events without touching them.
Always near, never in the way
The semi-transparent window rests above your other apps, so your schedule stays close without taking over your screen.
Tune it once. Let it settle in.
Adjust size, color, and transparency until it fits your space. Then leave it there to do its work.

Google Calendar Access
Niwa Day connects to Google Calendar as its data source. The connection uses Google's official OAuth 2.0 flow, and only the minimum permission needed to show your events is requested.
Requested scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly
This scope lets Niwa Day read your calendar events — and nothing more. Niwa Day cannot create, change, or remove any events in your Google Calendar.
How Niwa Day handles your data
- Calendar events are fetched in real time and shown only on your device.
- No calendar data is stored on any external server, cached persistently, or shared with any third party.
- OAuth tokens are kept safely in the Windows Credential Manager, and are never sent anywhere except to Google's own API.
- You can revoke Niwa Day's access at any time from your Google Account Permissions page.
Niwa Day's use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. For full details, please see the Privacy Policy.
